Sungrow, a global leader in PV inverters and energy storage systems (ESS), has partnered with Renewable Power Capital (RPC) to deploy its advanced PowerTitan 2.0 liquid-cooled energy storage system in Finland. This marks the first installation of the PowerTitan 2.0 in the country, as part of RPC's 50MW/100MWh Kalanti BESS project in Uusikaupunki, southwest Finland.

- Enhanced Performance: The PowerTitan 2.0 features intelligent liquid cooling technology, ensuring precise temperature control, improved efficiency, and extended battery life. With a round-trip efficiency (RTE) of 90%, it optimizes energy storage and discharge performance.
- Compact Design: The system will consist of 20 units, each housed in 20-foot containers, integrating battery cells and Power Conversion Systems (PCS) seamlessly.
- Long-Term Support: Sungrow will provide Operations & Maintenance (O&M) services under a 15-year contract, ensuring the project's reliability and efficiency.
Project Impact:
The Kalanti BESS project, set to begin construction in March 2025, will enhance grid stability and support Finland's renewable energy integration. The system will offer two-hour storage capacity, enabling grid services like frequency response and participation in wholesale energy markets.
