Svolt officially announced today that the standard low-capacity, high-voltage commercial light truck 100kWh battery system has recently been officially rolled off the production line. It has a single full-charge endurance of up to 300 kilometers, which can cover daily transportation needs in and around cities.
According to reports, this commercial light truck battery system relies on the Svolt short blade + lamination route to build a 100kWh battery system standard product, achieving shared performance between commercial and passenger vehicles. Its main performance is as follows:
Group performance
Svolt's commercial light truck battery system adopts a stacked structure of short blades, and the battery cells account for more than 87% of the space in the height direction of the system. This design improves the energy density of the battery system and ensures sufficient protective space and protection strength at the bottom.
Safety performance
In addition to the safety features of the lifepo4 battery itself, the Svolt commercial light truck battery system also ensures smooth internal exhaust and large-area heat dissipation on the surface of the battery cell to avoid potential safety hazards caused by heat accumulation. The system level is also equipped with multiple safety measures such as temperature monitoring, voltage monitoring, and pressure relief balancing valves.
Charging performance
The Svolt commercial light truck battery system supports up to 2C fast charging. In the future, it can be iterated to 4C fast charging technology with the same size, which is suitable for intercity transportation scenarios that require longer mileage. This means that users can complete short-term fast charging in just 10 to 20 minutes.
In addition, the Svolt commercial light truck 100kWh battery system adopts a flexible thermal management design to support precise temperature control. It can be configured with combinations of heating film heating, liquid heating, liquid cooling and natural cooling according to actual application conditions. Officials stated that the product also uses short blade series battery cells, which are consistent in size and specification with passenger car battery cells, realizing production line sharing and improving production efficiency and cost control.
Svolt's second-generation short blade fast-charging iron lithium batteries have been delivered to customers in large quantities at two bases in Shangrao and Yancheng, and 100,000 sets are expected to be delivered this year.
Svolt released a number of new "short blade" battery products in July this year, including 5C lifepo4 short blade battery cells, 6C ternary supercharged cells, 4C hybrid short blade battery cells, etc.:
5C lifepo4 short blade battery cell: Known as the industry's leading, the 10-80% charging time is shortened to 10 minutes, the cycle life exceeds 3,500 times, and mass production will be achieved in December this year.
6C ternary super-charging cell: It meets both ultra-high battery life and super-charging experience. It takes 5 minutes to charge and has a battery life of up to 500-600 kilometers. The whole package has a power of up to 100-120KWh, and the battery life can reach up to more than 1,000 kilometers.
4C hybrid short blade battery "800V hybrid three-yuan dragon scale battery": a product launched for the PHEV market and will be mass-produced in July 2025. Officials say that with the support of 800V+4C fast charging technology, it has become the fastest charging PHEV product in the industry. Its energy density is 250Wh/kg, which can provide PHEV models with 55-70kWh power selection space, and can bring up to 300-400km of pure electric range. In addition, its unit cost can be reduced by 5%.
