I have a nice memory of our meeting in Shenzhn with LFP Battery Elsa and a beautiful impression of your growing company. We both are straightforward and honest people and this is the most important value,so i am sure we can

LFP Battery is the partner that i have replied one for years. Some other suppliers change sales quickly but LFP Battery not.

How long does it take to charge a 48v lithium ion battery?

First of all, pay attention when charging a new lithium-ion battery for the first time: the battery can be unplugged and used when it is fully charged. Generally, it will be fully charged in 2-4 hours. Do not charge it for more than 8 hours to 12 hours. It will be harmful and useless. When the prompt is low, you should start charging as soon as possible; secondly, the activation of the lithium-ion battery is not done by us. The lithium-ion battery is activated before leaving the factory, so it is incorrect to say that it is activated and charged for 12 hours. The first 12-hour charge is for nickel-cadmium and early nickel-metal hydride, but lithium-ion batteries have no memory effect. Don't do this. Too long charging time will affect the battery's cycle life.

So how to properly charge a 48v lithium-ion battery?

Power lithium-ion battery charging is divided into two stages:

1. Constant current charging, that is, the current is constant, and the voltage of the lithium-ion battery gradually increases with the charging process. According to the above specifications, it is generally charged at a current of 0.2C (C is a way of expressing the comparison between the nominal capacity of the battery and the current, 0.2 C is 200mA) when the battery voltage is close to the voltage of 4.2V, change the constant current charging to the regular voltage charging. This process is about five hours.

2. Constant voltage charging, that is, the voltage is constant, and the current gradually decreases as the saturation of the cell deepens. According to the specification, when the recent drops to 0.01C or 10mA, the charging is considered terminated. After this process and the constant current charging time are added, the total charging time should not exceed eight hours. Therefore, there are two criteria for judging whether the charging of the lithium-ion battery has reached full saturation: one is that the current is 0.01C. The other is that the total duration does not exceed eight hours. In other words, if the charging process of the lithium-ion battery still cannot reach 0.01 after eight hours C, it is regarded as a non-conforming product. So far, we have a theoretical understanding of charging a lithium-ion battery. When assessing a lithium-ion battery, we only need to set it according to the method on the regular charger manual because the standard lithium-ion battery charger is based on The characteristics of the lithium-ion battery are designed for the charging mode, which includes the process of constant current and constant voltage charging. We only need to judge whether the battery is fully charged according to the charger's indicator light.
